Just wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving. I hope everyone is enjoying it and finding something to be thankful for, like I am thankful for you stopping by! Enjoy the holiday :)
The previous comment was a "test" to see if I could get posted. This is ur 50 plus races per year club friend Robert. Hey, thanks for mentioning me in ur blog about the SC Turkey Trot 5k. Its great seeing u at more races this time of year. I drove all the way to Columbia Sun to do the Metric Marathon only to be informed that it was canceled due to icy conditions. Im at race 94 with only 6 to go to get to 100. Im gearing up for next year & hope to hit 125 in 09. Already have 2 marathons scheduled & paid for. Im going for 4 marathons in 09 & 20 halfs. Keep the faith!!!! See u soon.
My pleasure and thank you Robert! I hope to talk to you soon. Those sound like ambitious goals and I'm sure they are doable for you. Look forward to hearing about your endeavors. If I don't see you at Lake Elkhorn this weekend for the Striders race, I'll send you an e-mail in the near future. Take care my friend!
I ran a race in all of Maryland's counties in 2007!!!!!
My third-place award medal at the 12th Annual North Beach 5K in Calvert County, Maryland, on Saturday, September 15, where I was blessed to finish my quest of running in a running event in all of Maryland's counties within a year!
This blog is based on my rather quixotic, yet fun endeavors to run at least one organized running event in every county of Maryland (including one in Baltimore City) before the year 2007 is out. God blessed me on Saturday, September 15 this year by helping me finish the North Beach 5K in Calvert County, Maryland, where I finished this goal!!! I want to glorify God with this gift of and passion for running that He gave me. I want to live and reflect His Son and my Savior, Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ sacrificed Himself so that God could see me, a sinner undeserving of God's grace, presented blameless in the perfection of Jesus. I know I am far from perfect on my own, but I hope you can see more of Christ working miracles through my running and life in general, and less of me as I blog. I feel like for me running is a way for me to help connect with God and I can see how He works through running, and He certainly helps me run well even when I do not believe that I can. It is not about me and running, though I experience God and His mercy in it, and I want to share it. everyone is welcome to read and post here. Please enjoy and thank you for stopping by to read it!
